    Apparently

    Most things make perfect sense.
    Right up until you think about them.

    Apparently finds Indi-Glo Blue paying attention to things that probably didn’t require this much attention. The things we keep but don’t want, the strangers we invent stories for, the facts everyone knows before anyone actually knows them, and the small adjustments that somehow become a personality. Nothing here is particularly unusual. That’s rather the point. Life carries on, people remain confidently peculiar, and most of us are far too busy doing exactly the same things to notice.

    Apparently is a collection of observations about ordinary life, peculiar habits and the things people do without thinking too much about why they do them. Some are funny, some are less so, and most seemed perfectly normal until Indi-Glo Blue started paying attention.

    A new track from Apparently will be released here on Bard Records every Tuesday from 29 September, leading up to the full album arriving on streaming platforms on 27 November 2026.

    Fewer places to hide.

    Nude strips a selection of Indi-Glo Blue favourites back to whatever was holding them together in the first place. Synths give way to strings, piano, brushed drums, mandolin and the occasional instrument that probably wasn’t invited to the original recording. Some come out quieter, some stranger, and a few seem rather too comfortable without their clothes on. The collection reaches across the catalogue and includes acoustic versions of songs from the forthcoming album Apparently. Same words, same observations, considerably less covering them up.

    Nude collects acoustic versions of favourite Indi-Glo Blue songs from across the catalogue, including tracks from the forthcoming album Apparently. Each recording has been rearranged for a stripped-back acoustic setting while retaining the original song at its centre.

    News has become disposable.
    That wasn’t always an improvement.

    Most of these songs began life as headlines. They arrived with great urgency, dominated the country for somewhere between six hours and three days, then quietly disappeared beneath the next manufactured emergency. By Friday you’d forgotten Monday. By next month everyone was arguing about something else. The stories moved on. The questions rarely did.

    I started writing these because I realised I couldn’t remember what we’d all been furious about a fortnight earlier. Every week came with another announcement, another review, another promise, another official explanation for why something obvious wasn’t actually happening. It struck me that if I couldn’t remember them, perhaps that was rather convenient for the people responsible.

    So this isn’t really an album. It’s evidence. Fourteen moments the news cycle expected everyone to forget. Maybe you’ll agree with every song. Maybe you’ll disagree with every one. Either way, at least they’ll still exist after the headlines have gone.

    Please Sir, Can I Have Some More? is RebelliousBard with the politeness finally wearing thin. Across the album, Britain’s institutions, political class and changing sense of itself are dragged into the argument: who gets listened to, who is expected to accommodate whom, what we’re still allowed to value, and why questioning any of it so often seems to be the greater offence. Angry, sarcastic and deliberately unwilling to find a comfortable middle ground, this is a record about watching the country change, refusing to pretend everything is fine, and believing that what remains is still worth fighting for.

    Please Sir, Can I Have Some More? is a collection of political frustration, cultural arguments and institutional failures seen through RebelliousBard’s unapologetically personal perspective. Angry, sarcastic and occasionally profane, these songs document a Britain he increasingly struggles to recognise, but also one he believes is still worth defending. Beneath the frustration is a simple refusal to accept decline as inevitable, and a demand that people look at what is happening around them, question what they’re being told and expect better.

    The Adjustment Period documents PRE as its presence becomes increasingly familiar to the people encountering it. Transmissions, advertisements, products, workplaces and public environments reveal an organisation already woven through the ordinary routines of its audience, offering entertainment, comfort, convenience and improvement wherever they are required. Nothing announces an arrival because there isn’t one. PRE is already here. The adjustment period is simply the time it takes everyone else to recognise it.

    The Adjustment Period moves through transmissions, advertisements, products, workplaces and public spaces as PRE measures an audience becoming steadily more receptive to its presence. Familiarity becomes recognition, recognition becomes trust, and systems that might once have demanded explanation begin to feel ordinary. By the time no further orientation is required, the distinction between entertainment and infrastructure has become increasingly difficult to find.

We manage the decline, soften the disagreement, stay connected without quite connecting and learn when not to say the awkward part out loud. Nobody planned it that way. Somehow, everybody knows how it works.

Across the album, Vesura watches what happens when those ordinary patterns stop being invisible — and somebody finally decides whether to interrupt them or let them run again.
