    Clean Break

    Released 22 May 2026

    Clean Break

Most things don’t break at once.
    They repeat until something gives.

Clean Break is a collection of songs about communication, repetition and the small patterns people find themselves caught inside. Conversations circle the point, routines keep everything contained, words arrive half-understood and endings refuse to end cleanly. Across the album, Vesura watches what happens when those ordinary patterns stop being invisible — and somebody finally decides whether to interrupt them or let them run again.

    ALBUM NOTES

Clean Break looks at the patterns people repeat without quite noticing: conversations that circle the point, routines that keep things contained, and small misunderstandings that become something larger. These songs stay with the moment when the pattern finally becomes visible, and the choice becomes whether to break it or run it again.

  • Hold Pattern

    Hold Pattern

    VESURA

    Keep everything moving
    by changing nothing.

Hold Pattern turns routine into something almost mechanical: the same actions, responses and corrections repeated closely enough that nothing has the opportunity to drift. The pattern provides its own kind of stability, but underneath it sits a more uncomfortable question: whether the whole thing actually depends on never stopping long enough to find out.

    Hold Pattern

► Vesura • Hold Pattern • Clean Break
    AS SAID

Wake up, same time, same route
    Same screen, same input
    Sit still, don’t break pace
    Keep form, hold your place
    Small shifts get denied
    Stay locked, don’t deviate

    Same phrase, same reply
    No change, no retry
    Hands move, task repeats
    No gap, no off-beat
    If it slips, reset fast
    Back again, match the last

    Hold pattern, don’t break
    Hold pattern, don’t change
    Hold pattern, stay exact
    Hold pattern, run it back

    If I stop
    Does it fail
    If I stop
    Does it scale

    Hold pattern, don’t break
    Hold pattern, don’t change
    Hold pattern, stay exact
    Hold pattern, run it back

    Run it back

    Run it back

  • Too Much Input

    Too Much Input

    VESURA

    Everything wants attention.
    All at the same time.

Too Much Input captures the point where ordinary noise stops arriving as separate things and becomes one continuous demand. Messages, conversations, television and music all compete for the same bit of attention until even stepping away doesn’t quieten it. Eventually there is nothing left to process; the only useful response is to switch everything off.

    Too Much Input

► Vesura • Too Much Input • Clean Break
    AS SAID

    Too loud already

    Phone lights up, then again
    Different threads, different ends
    Voices stack, overlap
Can’t track who said what back
    TV on, someone talks
    Another sound cuts across

Too much input, shut it down
Too much input, all at once
    Every signal fighting now
    Can’t pick one, can’t adjust

    Music plays, then it clips
    Someone laughs, someone shouts
    I step back, doesn’t help
    Still it pushes in loud
    Try to filter it out
Still it breaks through the gaps

Too much input, shut it down
Too much input, all at once
    Every signal fighting now
    Can’t pick one, can’t adjust

    Cut it off
    Kill the feed
    Pull the plug
    Let me breathe

Too much input, shut it down
Too much input, all at once
    Every signal fighting now
    Can’t pick one, can’t adjust

    still ringing

  • Missed By Half

    Missed By Half

    VESURA

    Close enough to hear it.
    Not close enough to understand.

Missed By Half is about the small misunderstandings that seem harmless until they start accumulating. A word is misheard, an intention is guessed and both people carry on rather than stopping to check. Eventually the disagreement isn’t really about what was originally said at all; it’s about everything each person has been filling in for themselves.

    Missed By Half

► Vesura • Missed By Half • Clean Break
    AS SAID

You spoke fast, I caught half
Filled the rest, guessed the path
You said left, I heard right
We both paused, let it slide
    Small thing, leave it there
But it stayed in the air

We don’t say what we mean
    We just nod and agree
    Then it shifts underneath
    Missed by half, every time
    Missed by half, every line

    Later on, same mistake
    Same words, different take
    You correct, I push back
Now it’s more than the fact
Not the point, not the phrase
Just the way that it plays

We don’t say what we mean
    We just nod and agree
    Then it shifts underneath
    Missed by half, every time
    Missed by half, every line

    Say it clean
    Say it straight
    Don’t adjust
    Don’t translate

We don’t say what we mean
    We just nod and agree
    Then it shifts underneath
    Missed by half, every time
    Missed by half, every line

    say it again

  • Routine Echo

    Routine Echo

    VESURA

    Keep everything predictable
and nothing gets a chance to return.

Routine Echo is about using the ordinary mechanics of a day as a form of control. The same route, the same habits and the same carefully maintained boundaries leave little room for unwanted thoughts to get in. It works, mostly. The problem is that whatever the routine is keeping out hasn’t actually gone anywhere.

    Routine Echo

► Vesura • Routine Echo • Clean Break
    AS SAID

    Same time… same steps

Wake up, same side of the bed
    Same thoughts, nothing new said
Coffee goes cold in my hand
    I don’t change anything I planned
Keep it tight, keep it small
Don’t think past it at all

    If I don’t drift, I don’t slip
    So I stay inside it

I keep it straight, I keep it clean
No space for what it used to mean
I lock it down, I don’t let it move
    Nothing gets through
    Routine echo… step by step
    (Oh-oh) nothing left

Same route, same turns in place
    I don’t look up, don’t change pace
Phone lights up, I let it die
No need to check or ask why
If it stays out of sight
Then it stays out of mind

Every line I draw holds tight
    If I don’t rewrite

I keep it straight, I keep it clean
No space for what it used to mean
    Routine echo… step by step
    (Oh-oh) nothing left

Same route, same turns in place
    I don’t look up, don’t change pace
Phone lights up, I let it die
No need to check or ask why
If it stays out of sight
Then it stays out of mind

Every line I draw holds tight
    If I don’t rewrite

I keep it straight, I keep it clean
No space for what it used to mean
I lock it down, I don’t let it move
    Nothing gets through
    Routine echo… step by step
    (Oh-oh) nothing left

If I stop for even a second
    It comes back in
    So I don’t stop

I keep it straight, I keep it clean
    Still feel it under everything
I lock it down, I hold it still
    But it leaks through
    Routine echo… (tight loop)

    Same steps

  • Didn’t Say It Back

    Didn’t Say It Back

    VESURA

    Sometimes the answer
is the one that never comes.

Didn’t Say It Back is about a small omission that makes everything suddenly obvious. One person says something that matters and waits for the simplest response; instead, the conversation moves on as though nothing happened. There is no confrontation needed after that. What isn’t said has already answered the question.

    Didn't Say It Back

► Vesura • Didn’t Say It Back • Clean Break
    AS SAID

I said it once, not even loud
Didn’t push it, didn’t drag it out
You looked up, then looked away
Like it didn’t land, or didn’t stay
Phone lit up, you checked the screen
    Said “one second” in between
Came back different, tone gone flat
Like you’d already moved past that

I waited there for something back
    You just let it pass

Didn’t say it back, just left it there
Like it wasn’t even worth the air
    I don’t need a speech or a line
Just don’t leave me hanging mid-time
Didn’t say it back, that’s enough
Don’t dress it up or call it tough
If it’s gone, then let it go
    Don’t stand there like I don’t know

You kept talking like it’s fine
Same pace, same tone, same lines
    Didn’t break, didn’t bend
Just skipped past it to the end
I could stop you, pull it back
Make you deal with what you lack
But it’s clear in what you don’t
That you won’t say what you won’t

No need pushing for a word
    I already heard

Didn’t say it back, just left it there
Like it wasn’t even worth the air
    I don’t need a speech or a line
Just don’t leave me hanging mid-time
Didn’t say it back, that’s enough
Don’t dress it up or call it tough
If it’s gone, then let it go
    Don’t stand there like I don’t know

    Say it now
    No, don’t bother

Didn’t say it back, that’s the sign
Didn’t need more than that one time
I won’t wait for something late
You already made it clear enough

  • Leave it Like That

    Leave it Like That

    VESURA

    Not every ending
    needs improving.

Leave It Like That catches the point where two people have exhausted every version of the same conversation. One of them is almost out of the door, but familiar habits keep threatening to pull them back into it. There is no dramatic final argument and no attempt to rescue what is already finished; sometimes the cleanest ending is simply refusing to have the conversation again.

    Leave it Like That

► Indi-Glo Blue • Leave it Like That • Clean Break BUY
    AS SAID

You stood there with your coat half on
Like you hadn’t picked a side yet
Keys in hand, not moving still
Like you might forget why you left
I said nothing, watched you wait
You kept looking at the floor
If there’s something you need to say
    You’ve already said it before

    We don’t need another round
    Same words, same way down

Leave it like that, don’t fix it now
Don’t turn it back into something loud
We both know where this one goes
No need to spell it out slow
Leave it like that, just let it sit
No clean ending, just call it it
You don’t have to make it right
Just don’t stay and drag it out tonight

You sat down but didn’t stay
Just long enough to change your mind
Said my name like it still worked
Then dropped it like you lost the line
I could push, I could ask
    But it’s already worn thin
If I pull at it again
We just end up here again

Nothing new gets said this time
Just the same in different lines

Leave it like that, don’t fix it now
Don’t turn it back into something loud
We both know where this one goes
No need to spell it out slow
Leave it like that, just let it sit
No clean ending, just call it it
You don’t have to make it right
Just don’t stay and drag it out tonight

If you stay, we go again
If you go, that’s how it ends
There’s no version we haven’t tried
So just don’t change your mind

Leave it like that, don’t fix it now
Don’t turn it back into something loud
We both know where this one goes
No need to spell it out slow
Leave it like that, just let it sit
No clean ending, just call it it
You don’t have to make it right
Just don’t stay and drag it out tonight

  • Same Loop Again

    Same Loop Again

    VESURA

    Routine is useful
until you notice you’re inside it.

Same Loop Again catches the repetition of an ordinary day once it becomes impossible not to see it: the same alarm, journey, gestures and tasks, performed almost before there’s time to think about them. Even the smallest attempt to interrupt the pattern somehow finds its way back to the beginning.

    Same Loop Again

► Vesura • Same Loop Again • Clean Break BUY
    AS SAID

Alarm goes off, same time again
Same route out, same train in
Screen lights up before I think
Thumb moves first before I blink

    Different task but same result
    Click it through, don’t interrupt
Try to change one small thing
    Still end up repeating

Same loop again, don’t step out
Know the turns without a doubt
Run it once, run it clean
    Nothing here I haven’t seen

    Miss a step
    Lose the pace
    Back again
    Same place

Same loop again, don’t step out
Know the turns without a doubt
Run it once, run it clean
    Nothing here I haven’t seen

  • Second Floor Lights

    Second Floor Lights

    VESURA

    Sometimes distance
    is only one floor away.

Second Floor Lights sits in the strange period after something has ended without either person actually leaving. They still occupy the same familiar world and occasionally cross each other’s path, but neither reaches across the small distance between them. Nothing dramatic happened and nobody needs to be blamed; they simply stopped being part of each other’s lives.

    Second Floor Lights

► Vesura • Second Floor Lights • Clean Break BUY
    AS SAID

    Second floor, lights still on
Same time every night it’s on
    I don’t knock, I don’t call
Just watch shadows hit the wall

You stay in, I stay out
We don’t talk it through or shout
    Same place, different view
    Nothing here to get into

You walk past, I don’t wave
Feels too much for what it gave
It’s not wrong, it’s just done
No big loss, no one won

You stay in, I stay out
We don’t turn it round about
    Same place, different view
    Nothing here to get into

If I tried, would it change
Or just feel a bit more strange

You stay in, I stay out
We don’t turn it round about
    Same place, different view
    Nothing left to hold onto

  • Just Say It Straight

    Just Say It Straight

    VESURA

    When getting to the point
    becomes the whole conversation.

Just Say It Straight is about the frustration of listening to someone repeatedly approach what they want to say, only to soften it, rephrase it or pull away at the last moment. The problem isn’t what the answer might be anymore; it’s having to drag it out of someone who clearly already knows what they mean.

    Just Say It Straight

► Vesura • Just Say It Straight • Clean Break BUY
    AS SAID

    Go on
    No, just
    Just say it

You start talking, then you stall
Half a sentence, nothing at all
Look away like that helps it land
I’m still waiting, say it again
You rewind, then change the tone
Same point dressed up, still not shown
If it’s simple, make it clear
Don’t drag it out, just say it here

Just say it straight, don’t dress it up
You’ve said enough without saying much
I don’t need it soft or vague
Just say the line you’re trying to say
Just say it straight, don’t step around
You keep lifting it off the ground
    I don’t need another take
Just say the line and let it stay

    You keep looping back again
    Same start point, different end
    Every version almost lands
Then you pull it from my hands
You say “it’s fine” then pause too long
    Like that word’s already wrong
If it matters, let it hit
Don’t keep softening all of it

You’re right there, I can tell
You just won’t let it land

Just say it straight, don’t dress it up
You’ve said enough without saying much
I don’t need it soft or vague
Just say the line you’re trying to say
Just say it straight, don’t step around
You keep lifting it off the ground
    I don’t need another take
Just say the line and let it stay

    Say it
    Stop
    Say it
    Now

Just say it straight, don’t dress it up
You’ve said enough without saying much
I don’t need it soft or vague
Just say the line you’re trying to say
