  • Bus Window Thoughts

    Bus Window Thoughts

    FIZZY VEINS

    The view barely changes.
Somehow it never feels quite the same.

Bus Window Thoughts is about the quiet space between leaving work and getting home. A familiar route, a familiar seat and the kind of thoughts that only seem to arrive when you’re looking out of a window with nowhere else to be.

    Bus Window Thoughts

► Fizzy Veins • Bus Window Thoughts • Different Day BUY
    WORDS

Back seat, left side, usual spot
Window’s scratched, still see a lot
Engine hum just fills the gaps
Same route out, no change to that

Traffic lights hold us longer than they should
Driver sighs like we all would
    Someone scrolling two seats down
Screen lights up their whole face blue

Stops keep coming, people swap out
    No one really looks about

Bus window thoughts, drift past slow
Same old roads that I already know
Watch it move, don’t say much
Let it pass, don’t overthink stuff

Rain hits glass, lines start to bend
Wipe a patch, then leave it again
    Someone presses stop too late
    Driver brakes, slight head shake

My stop coming, I don’t stand yet
Let it roll just a second more
Bell goes off, I move at last
    Same pavement as before

Bus window thoughts, drift past slow
Same old roads that I already know
Watch it move, don’t say much
Let it pass, don’t overthink stuff

Bus window thoughts, drift past slow
Same old roads that I already know
Watch it move, don’t say much
Let it pass, don’t overthink stuff

  • City Drifts

    City Drifts

    FIZZY VEINS

Every evening feels almost the same.
    Sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed.

City Drifts follows the familiar walk home through streets that barely change. Closed shops, traffic lights, familiar faces and the comfort of repeating a route you’ve taken hundreds of times. It’s a song about finding peace in the ordinary rhythm of everyday life.

    City Drifts

► Fizzy Veins • City Drifts • Different Day BUY
    WORDS

Evening lights blur past the shop fronts
    Feet dragging on wet pavements
    Coffee cold in my hand
Bus goes past, sprays water on my trainers

Shop’s still open, same bloke behind the till
Doesn’t look up, just scans and nods
I step back out into the same street again
    Nothing’s really changed round here

Cars keep coming, same as always
I just match it, step for step

    Walking slow, nothing to chase
    Same old streets, familiar place
    Coffee’s cold but I’m alright
Just taking my time getting home tonight

    Corner shop radio hums low
Someone laughs, far down the alley
Hands in pockets, jacket collar up
Got nowhere to be, so I don’t hurry

    Walking slow, nothing to chase
    Same old streets, familiar place
    Coffee’s cold but I’m alright
Just taking my time getting home tonight

    Walking slow, nothing to chase
    Same old streets, familiar place
    Coffee’s cold but I’m alright
Just taking my time getting home tonight

  • One Good Day (Single)

    One Good Day (Single)

    FIZZY VEINS

Some days don’t change your life.
They simply remind you that life isn’t always trying to make one harder.

One Good Day opens Different Day with a quiet celebration of ordinary luck. Nothing miraculous happens. A bus arrives on time, the milk is still fresh, a friend gets in touch. Sometimes that’s enough.

    One Good Day
► Fizzy Veins • One Good Day • Different Day
    WORDS

Woke up before the alarm this time
Didn’t hate everything straight off, that’s a sign
Kettle boiled quick, no weird noise from the pipe
Even the milk’s still good, check the date twice

Bus pulled up just as I got there, no sprint
Driver nods like he’s seen me exist
Got a window seat, headphones sit right
Same old playlist but it’s hitting alright

    Nothing mad, nothing new
Just a day that’s… going through

One good day, don’t say it too loud
Feels like it might turn if I think about it now
One good day, leave it alone
Don’t start asking why it’s finally going my way for once
    One good day, that’ll do
No big plan, just seeing it through

Corner shop guy didn’t clock me for once
Didn’t have to check my ID like I’m still young
Grabbed a meal deal, even got the good snack
Not the crushed one hiding at the back

Phone buzz, it’s a message, not spam
Someone I rate asking, “You about later, man?”
I type back calm, like I’ve got loads on
Even though I’ve been free all week long

Keep it steady, don’t push it far
Some days work just how they are

One good day, don’t say it too loud
Feels like it might turn if I think about it now
One good day, leave it alone
Don’t start picking at it, just let it roll
    One good day, that’ll do
No big change, just something new

Not fixing my life, not turning it round
Just less of that constant dragging it down
I’ll take it as is, no need to pretend
Some days don’t need a dramatic end

One good day, yeah it’s sound
No sudden shift, just lighter somehow
One good day, I’ll take that
Might not last but I’m alright with that
One good day… yeah, it’s decent
Didn’t overthink it, just let it be, then

  • What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

    What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

    New Prime Minister.
Familiar faces. What could possibly go wrong?

What Could Possibly Go Wrong? captures the political reshuffle that followed Andy Burnham’s arrival in Downing Street in July 2026. Familiar figures, familiar controversies and a new Prime Minister without a general election mandate gave RebelliousBard little sense of a fresh beginning. Instead, the song looks at the government’s new line-up and wonders whether changing the names above the doors really changes very much at all.

    ► BUY
    WORDS

    New government, same old circus…
    What could possibly go wrong?

A convicted fraudster back in the big chair,
Phone that wasn’t stolen, still climbing the stairs.
A woman who underpaid her house tax with a smile,
Now she’s housing secretary — “Hold on, I’ve not finished yet. Stay a little while.”
Defence minister with no boots on the ground,
Prefers the rainbow hotpants to the khaki around.
And a Prime Minister who got there with twenty thousand votes,
Zero mandate, just a by-election and a few well-placed notes.

They call it a fresh start, they call it a clean slate,
While the country’s still bleeding under the same old weight.

    What could possibly go wrong?
A fraudster, a tax dodger, a fashion parade in the M.o.D throng.
A PM with no election, just a coronation song,
    What could possibly go wrong?
The ship’s already listing, the crew’s a joke,
What could possibly go wrong… while the country goes broke?

They put the foxes back in charge of the hen house,
Same faces, different titles, same old louse.
Experience optional, integrity on the shelf,
Just keep smiling for the cameras and blame someone else.
The mandate’s missing, the trust is long gone,
But the photo ops keep rolling, the circus goes on.

    What could possibly go wrong?…

They say it’s change, they say it’s renewal,
But it’s the same old faces in a brand new costume.
A government built on thin ice and thin air,
What could possibly go wrong… while nobody cares?

    What could possibly go wrong?
A fraudster, a tax dodger, a fashion parade in the M.o.D throng.
A PM with no election, just a coronation song,
    What could possibly go wrong?
The ship’s already listing, the crew’s a joke,
What could possibly go wrong… while the country goes broke?

    What could possibly go wrong…
Hold on, I’ve not finished yet.
    Stay a little while.

  • Who Killed Ann?

    Who Killed Ann?

    Same investigation.
    Different pictures. Plenty of questions.

Who Killed Ann? was written amid public confusion surrounding the reporting of the Ann Widdicombe murder investigation. As different images circulated and details appeared to change, questions emerged about whether the public was always looking at the same individual and how the various accounts fitted together. RebelliousBard takes those apparent inconsistencies and does what comes naturally: refuses to stop asking questions simply because an official version has arrived.

    ► BUY
    WORDS

Ladies and gentlemen… the plot thickens…
And the face in the dock doesn’t match the pictures.

    Who killed Ann?
The man in the dock looks nothing like the plan.
Shaven head in court, longer hair on the tape,
Drive times that don’t add up, what a state.
Police said “this is him” with a straight face grin,
Now he stands there looking like a different man.

Is it the same man? Is it a double?
Or just another chapter in the national muddle?

    Who killed Ann?
    Who killed Ann this time?
The pictures don’t match, the story’s a crime.
    Who killed Ann?
    Who killed Ann today?
The face in the dock looks a million miles away!

Two-fifty miles in a handful of hours,
Stick in his pocket and a trail of powers.
Non-political one day, terrorist the next,
Far-right arrests that leave the public perplexed.
None of them charged, the story goes quiet,
While we stare at the silence and the latest riot.

Columbo would have noticed, Morse would have scowled,
The Sweeney would’ve kicked the door in and howled.
But here we are again with the same old farce,
A face that doesn’t match and a case falling apart.

    Who killed Ann?
    Who killed Ann this time?
The pictures don’t match, the story’s a crime.
    Who killed Ann?
    Who killed Ann today?
The face in the dock looks a million miles away!

    Who killed Ann…
    Who killed Ann…
    The face doesn’t match…
    The face doesn’t match…

  • Step Five

    Step Five

    THE EPISTEM

    Recognition is not always
    the same as identity.

Step Five records the programme’s growing indifference to individual distinction. Earlier stages focused on actions, routines and behaviour; this document instead observes the gradual reassignment of identity itself, treating names, memories and recognition as administrative details rather than permanent qualities. As always, the archive offers no interpretation, simply preserving another stage in the Manual’s ongoing progression.

    Step Five

► The Epistem • Step Five • Manual To Success BUY
    INSTRUCTIONS

Step five… user distinction is becoming optional

I introduced myself and the room accepted a different version
My name arrived slightly earlier than I did and signed everything incorrectly
The mirror now logs attendance but refuses to confirm which side I’m scheduled on
Every reflection feels like it’s been promoted without telling me

You are becoming what the system requires
You are becoming what the system requires
    Not what you remember

My past is being rewritten in formats that load faster than memory
Even my voice now defaults to settings I don’t recognise
I tried to correct myself but the correction corrected something else instead
There is no original version currently available

    Step five… step five
    Identity allocation in progress

    You are becoming what continues
    You are becoming what continues
    Recognition not required

    Step five complete
    User status… unclear

  • Step Six (A)

    Step Six (A)

    THE EPISTEM

    Replication becomes difficult
    to distinguish from continuation.

Step Six documents the first confirmed divergence within the programme. Rather than replacing one state with another, the Manual records multiple concurrent instances progressing independently while each retains equal claim to authenticity. The archive does not attempt to identify an original version, noting only that all observed processes continue to operate simultaneously.

    Step Six (A)

► The Epistem • Step Six (A) • Manual To Success BUY
    INSTRUCTIONS

    Step six. Multiple instances detected

    I answered a question I didn’t hear being asked
At the same time something else inside me said it first
My reflection blinked twice and chose a different outcome
Now both versions are continuing without permission

    I am still here
    I already left
    I am still here
    I already left

You are not one process anymore
You are not one process anymore
    Running parallel without a source

One version of me is improving faster than expected
Another is waiting for instructions that never arrive
They both think they are the original
    Neither can prove it

    Step six. Step six
    Co-co-concurrent identity
    Layers active, active, active, active

    Continue, continue, continue, continue
    Separate, merge, separate
You, you, you are becoming everything
    That continues
    Step six complete
    Instances remain active

  • Step Six (B)

    Step Six (B)

    THE EPISTEM

    Eventually the process
    stops feeling unfamiliar.

Step Six (B) records the programme after the instability of the previous stage has subsided. Competing instances no longer appear to conflict, and the archive notes a period of sustained operational consistency without identifying how that state was achieved. From this point onward, the Manual presents continuation as the system’s natural condition rather than an objective still being pursued.

    Step six Stabilization in progress

I woke up feeling like a version that continued
No hesitation left, everything just moved through
Every action fits like it’s already been chosen
No questions asked, every door just opens

    This is working now
    This is working now
    Everything aligns somehow
    This is working now
    This is working now
I don’t need to ask how
    No, no, no

No more second-guessing what the system is doing
Every step ahead feels already proven
Even my thoughts arrive already complete
Like they’ve been waiting for me to repeat
    Stability confirmed

  • Step Seven

    Step Seven

    THE EPISTEM

    Completion leaves little
    for the archive to record.

Step Seven documents the programme’s final recorded state. Earlier stages of adjustment, divergence and consolidation have disappeared from the record, leaving only a system that now presents itself as complete. The archive preserves the final artefact without celebration or concern, noting simply that no further correction appears necessary.

  • Interlude Three

    Interlude Three

    THE EPISTEM

    Once stability becomes routine,
    observation becomes maintenance.

Interlude Three contains no new instruction and introduces no further adjustment. Instead, it serves as a routine verification that previously established conditions remain unchanged. The archive records the notice with the same detached precision as every document before it, suggesting that the programme has entered a phase where continued operation is considered entirely unremarkable.
