Neon Autopsy cuts into the polished optimism of the eighties and examines what was underneath. Shopping malls, MTV, video stores, advertising, credit and manufactured rebellion offered a future of endless choice while quietly teaching an entire culture how to consume itself. The decade eventually ended. Many of its promises simply changed packaging.
